Welcome to Harvest

  • Company: Harvest Church
  • Camera: Panasonic Lumix GH-1

The task was to produce a welcome video for the church I work for. My job was to use the pastor in an intimate setting that welcomed website visitors to the church website. I accomplished this goal by using a black screen, overhead light, and one soft light the talent’s left side with a reflector on the other to produce a nice soft intimate shot. That shot paired with a nice relaxing instrumental made a great welcoming to all visitors of the church website. Since it was a small project, I filled every role, including:

Director                                                  Color Grade
Lighting                                                  Audio
Editing                                                    Production

This graphic is for a local church outreach in Albemarle for their three day Easter event. I was asked to create an image to publicize the gathering at their church using different elements such as the triangle and traditional settings such as clouds and the sun. I took those elements and placed them together in the image you see above. They are using it in their public sites (both church and social networks).

Pate Life

I made this video in the summer of 2013 just messing around with my iPhone and family as we took a nice leisurely stroll through the neighborhood. No it’s not something you would normally put in a portfolio, but it is me and I think you deserve to see it. So there.

Coble-Whitley Wedding

This couple asked me to capture their wedding through a short film. The goal was to compact the wedding, but give you a sense of the feel and intimacy of the setting in the country field. I used a two camera set up and moved around to capture the real special moments of the wedding. The video above hopefully gives you a snapshot of not only how beautiful the wedding was, but how beautiful they are for each other. Enjoy.

Team Kenya

Team Kenya

A group from Harvest Church went to Kenya. My project was to develop a logo for the team to focus around and brand different events, social media, and a variety of print media. The image above is just one small piece of that media used. Overall the design was a success and has been recycled multiple times.

Harvest Church Website

Harvest Church Website

harvest websiteThe Harvest Church website was in desperate need of help. It lacked functionality and the ability to provide their church with the resources is needed. Using WordPress, my job was to build out a sire that provided online messages, RSS feed, podcasting, forms and church information in a nice compact package. Consider the project completed and well done.
